As a highly experienced Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Accredited EMDR Consultant and psychotherapist, I bring over two decades of dedicated work within the field of counselling, trauma therapy, and holistic psychotherapy.  I have extensive training and have specialize in working with those impacted by complex trauma, childhood sexual assault, dissociative disorders, domestic and family violence, grief and loss.  My thirst for learning remains unquenched, continuously evolving both professionally and personally.

My journey commenced with a commitment to understanding complex trauma and working with adult survivors of childhood sexual assault.  Over the past 2 decades, I have worked in sexual assault services, child protection and managed child abuse prevention service, providing supervision to health professionals, community agencies, therapists and counsellors and contributed to the learning of students.  I've held roles in state and national non-government agencies, government services and the health department. From providing face-to-face and telephone sexual assault counselling to developing and facilitating intensive 9-week group therapy programs.  Provided trauma-informed training workshops for health professionals and survivors of all forms of child abuse nationally.

Since 2009, my private practice has focused on individuals and groups impacted by childhood trauma and abuse, grief, domestic and family violence. Alongside offering therapy and groups, I've extended my expertise to provide supervision to agencies, health professionals and therapists working with all forms of abuse and trauma.

As an approved victim services counsellor, I offered counselling to the Aboriginal community in a rural area of NSW for 7 years as a fly-in fly-out service and I continue to work with individuals within this community.

As an Open Arms contract counsellor, I provide therapy to serving veterans and their families.

My training has encompassed various approaches, including trauma-informed therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Hypnotherapy, Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, Somatic Approaches, Grief and Loss, Structural Dissociation, Ego State Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Attachment theory. I am a Trainer, Mentor, and Coach in Hypnotherapy, Time Line Technique and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)‎.   I am an accredited facilitator of Brene Brown’s Daring Way and Raising Strong programs and incorporate this work into my practice with clients both individually and within the groups I have facilitated.

My journey with EMDR began in 2018, marking a pivotal shift in my practice.

Through dedicated training and immersion in EMDR, attending national and international conferences, and pursuing advanced training with EMDR experts, I've worked diligently towards accreditation.  I offer supervision, consultation for therapists and those seeking accreditation, facilitate at basic EMDR trainings, and maintain an active client caseload.
